Arts as Language
and Experience
At our Institution, art invites students to explore their personal and collective interests and to develop a creative world from early stages.
Through its various forms—such as music, visual expression, and the plastic arts—it connects us with a language to contemplate, investigate, and represent emotions and experiences.
We work with a wide range of techniques and materials that stimulate imagination, fostering exploration, experimentation, creativity, and skill development in a space of peer exchange and community engagement.

Arts as an Expressive
Language
At Washington School, the Arts area encompasses multiple experiences: learning to observe and listen, producing and exhibiting work, developing a personal artistic language, and encouraging a critical, empathetic, and respectful spirit.
The aim is to stimulate creative imagination and integrate aesthetic knowledge with other areas of learning within the student’s education.
Culture, Technology,
and Critical Appreciation
We also aim to help students understand culture through art. Exposure to renowned works and artistic creations broadens their general culture, connects them with the historical contexts that inspired those expressions, and enables them to understand human experiences throughout time.
The link with new technologies allows us to explore the evolution of artistic languages and face the challenge of integrating different tools to create and appreciate. In this way, our students become critical spectators and creative producers.
Direct experiences—such as museum visits, theater performances, and concerts—enrich access to a well-rounded and meaningful education.
