At Washington School, we encourage the school community to contribute positively to global society, to appreciate cultural diversity, and to reflect on their own perspectives and those of others to realize the motto that guides us: “Creating a Better World”.
From an early age, our students become critical thinkers with international mindedness, capable of complex problem solving creatively, in collaboration with people from different cultures.

As members of the IB Community and Cambridge International Education, we share a vision of the world where people are interconnected, all undertaking a sense of responsibility towards each of its members.
Our team includes education and health professionals, constantly training, who reflect together with families on new ways to teach, learn, and support the growth of our students.
Our Coexistence Agreement
A key instrument for the well-being and safety of our students.
We relate respectfully, regardless of our differences.
We develop personal values and respect the values of others.
We appreciate our own culture and respect the traditions of other people and communities.
We act with integrity and respect towards others, institutions, and the environment.
We preserve the physical and moral integrity of all members of the educational community.
We respect freedom of thought and expression.
These values become real when each member acts consistently with them in all areas of life.
Foreign Families
At Washington School, we value cultural diversity and believe that the inclusion of international students is an enriching experience for the entire educational community: teachers, students, and families. Their presence enhances the development of international mindedness and promotes values such as empathy, respect, and openness towards other cultures.
To support their integration process, we offer a Support Program for students with no prior schooling in English and/or Spanish. The program includes small-group language support classes during school hours and personalized follow-up.

Admission and Support Protocol for International Students.
This protocol aims to support the admission and adaptation of students who do not have sufficient proficiency in the school’s languages of instruction (Spanish and English), to ensure their integration and learning process. When starting the admission process, the family will be welcomed by the Information and Orientation Department. If the adults responsible do not speak English and/or Spanish, an interpreter will be present to facilitate communication and provide guidance throughout the process.
The student will take a diagnostic evaluation in English and Spanish conducted by teacher Florencia Belloni.
Based on the results, a personalized support plan will be defined, including small-group classes during school hours. In cases where the school deems it necessary, families will be asked to provide additional support outside school hours.
Once the support plan is defined, it will be communicated to the families and formalized through an agreement with the school, in which both parties commit to fulfilling the terms for the student’s well-being.
The school commits to keeping the family informed about the student’s progress through regular meetings with the teachers. If necessary, an interpreter will be present to ensure clear and effective communication between the family and the school.
IB Learner Profile Attributes
A guide for personal and social growth, fostering wellbeing, safety, and respectful coexistence throughout our entire community.

Sharing is Caring
Our school is a space for participation for the entire community with the aim of supporting the formation of values in our students, with a special focus on being caring, one of the essential attributes of our identity.
We maintain close contact with neighborhood and civil organizations. As sponsors of the Ka Aguy Yvate community in Misiones, we organize benefit events throughout the year to install water tanks, generators, pumps, solar panels, and a community kitchen.
Road Safety Awareness
Since 2007, the Road Safety Awareness Program has organized the school’s entrance and exit routines, promoting traffic safety and education from early childhood. It has been recognized by government organizations and replicated by other educational institutions.
Blood & Marrow Donation
Since 2017, we have joined the Garrahan Hospital and INCUCAI campaign as a donation center. Teachers and students raise awareness and promote solidarity and social responsibility within our community.
