Our approach
Secondary Education at Washington School supports students in developing their social, emotional and cognitive skills. We promote a positive attitude towards learning and provide the tools to act autonomously and confidently in a multicultural and technological world in constant evolution. Our programme is structured as a Bilingual Baccalaureate with different Orientations and International Certification. We nurture critical thinkers, agents of change, and global citizens capable of addressing the demands of the present and the future.

Baccalaureate Orientations
Students may choose from three different tracks within the Bilingual Baccalaureate, allowing them to begin shaping their academic profile based on their interests and goals:

Mathematics and Physics
This track offers a strong foundation in scientific knowledge
Courses include:
- Laboratory
- Logic and Philosophy of Science
- Mathematics for Physics
- Physics and Technology
- Science in Context
- Current Physics Issues

Economics and Administration
Focuses on the areas of:
- Accountancy
- Business Administration
- Economics (aligned with the CBC of the University of Buenos Aires)

Communication
This track explores communication phenomena through analysis, research and production, addressing the different social and cultural aspects involved.
International programmes
At Washington School, the national curriculum is integrated with the Cambridge International Examinations IGCSE programme and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Both are naturally embedded in the school’s educational project, strengthening a bilingual, coherent, and globally oriented education. This combination offers excellent preparation for admission to top-tier universities in Argentina and around the world.

International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme
This programme fosters an inquiry mindset, critical thinking and community involvement. It includes:
- Six subject groups
- Core components: Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS), Extended Essay
Students reflect on knowledge, conduct independent research, and apply their learning in meaningful contexts. The DP is recognised in over 100 countries and supports university access and personal growth.
Cambridge IGCSE Diploma ICE
With more than 30 years of experience, the IGCSE is one of the most recognised international qualifications for students aged 14 to 16. It strengthens skills across:
- English as a Second Language
- Spanish as a First Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- ICT
- Literature in Spanish and Literature in English
