Day 2 in our Book Fair brought nothing less than joy, surprises, visits and great memories to keep in our hearts.
Our adolescents, students of Secondary School, received well-known author Madeleine Roux.
Madeleine Roux , born in Minnesota, US, is the New York Times bestselling author of the Asylum series, which has sold into eleven countries around the world and whose first book was named a Teen Indie Next List Pick. A graduate of the Beloit College writing program, Madeleine now lives in Seattle, Washington. She initiated as as blogger with Allison Hewitt Is Trapped which became a unique fiction series for her followers. She also wrote Bestsellers such as Sadie Walker Is Stranded and the upcoming book release of the House of Furies series.
Our students could ask her plenty of questions. One of the answers which we truly appreciated was when she mentioned that writing is 10% a good idea and the rest, work!
Meanwhile, 5th form pupils, welcomed author Verónica Sukaczer, 2014 Konex Award, Juvenile literature.
Verónica is Argentine, a journalist, writer and editor. She is the author of plenty of storybooks and novels for children and young people. Some of them are: El inventor de puertas; Nunca confíes en una computadora; Nunca salgas desconectado; La cena del dinosaurio; Shemaparin, la lengua perdida; La última palabra; El probador de espejos; Lindo día para volar. She is also the author of Nueve ratas en busca de un cuento, book which is being read by 5th formers. Our children prepared a very interesting interview. She answered each of the questions, signed books and left us reflecting because Verónica, is also a specialist in hearing disabilities, expert in Logogenia.
We have also received the visit of plenty of families who came to be with the children while walking and sorting different books, giving the Fair a great frame to the event.
Today will be its last day. Let´s enjoy till the very end!
